PLENTY of hats., women's dresses were made of "textiles like satin, silk, velvet, and fringe, all adorned with over-the-top textures like lace, bows, frills, and ruffles.
It's worth noting that the Gilded Age wasn't a bougie, life-is-a-runway-show, luxurious time for everyone — the late 1800s also saw millions of immigrants journey through Ellis Island. But it was a time of hope and innovation for all, and we can't wait to see how each celeb interprets the theme.
