The Actor Who Played Bran Thought The Ending Of 'Game Of Thrones' Was A 'Joke Script'
And, it turns out that the actor who plays Bran, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, was also incredibly surprised by the eventual outcome. So much so, in fact, that he thought it was a joke., Isaac said:"When I got to the [Dragonpit scene] in the last episode, and they're like, 'What about Bran?' I had to get up and pace around the room.
Isaac went on to say that he was"happy" with the outcome, but confessed he had been previously hoping for his character to meet his fate in a"good death scene".He said:"I'm happy. Though I kind of did want to die and get in one good death scene with an exploding head or something." And, defending the criticism of the season and its finale, Isaac said he believes it was actually a"fitting conclusion" to an"epic saga".He explained:"It's difficult to finish a series as popular as this without pissing some people off. I don't think anybody will think it's predictable and that's as much as you can hope for. It's 'bittersweet,' exactly as [author] George R.R. Martin intended. It’s a fitting conclusion to this epic saga.
