Gary Oldman's Dracula was great.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Bram Stoker's Dracula art shows an unsettling look at Gary Oldman's eponymous vampire. Based on the 1897 novel and directed by Francis Ford Coppola, the 1992 film titled Bram Stoker's Dracula features an all-star cast that includes Gary Oldman as Count Dracula, Winona Ryder as Mina Harker, Anthony Hopkins as Van Helsing, and Keanu Reeves as Jonathan Harker.
On Instagram, artist Ryan Samuel Carr shared a painting that perfectly recaptures the unsettling and creepy look of Gary Oldman's Dracula from the 1992 film. Check out the art below: The art perfectly captures Oldman's appearance as Dracula, including his sharp elongated fingernails, pale aged skin, and wild disheveled hair. At this point, his teeth aren't yet elongated into sharp fangs, which does happen as the film progresses and he fully embraces his vampiric nature.
Why Gary Oldman's Dracula Is So Special Released in 1992, Coppola's vision of Dracula was the first to deviate from the past decades of campy interpretations and, as a result, was able to showcase a truly terrifying performance from Gary Oldman. One way the film deviates from Stoker's novel is by portraying Dracula as Vlad the Impaler longing for a lost love, adding depth and emotional complexity to the character.
