A five-year-old boy has died after plunging from a harbour wall in Cornwall.
Emergency services were called to reports of the boy, 5, having fallen in Padstow on Saturday morning. The boy, who was local, was taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital, at Treliske in Truro. He was later transferred to Bristol Hospital for treatment but passed away. A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: ‘Emergency services were called at around 11.45am on Saturday 24 June following reports of a child having fallen from the harbour wall in Padstow.
‘The child, who is a 5-year-old local boy, was taken to Treliske by Air Ambulance and later transferred to Bristol Hospital for treatment.Police and ambulances rushed to the harbour after the tragic incident ‘Currently, police are treating this death as a tragic accident.‘Anyone with further information can contact the police quoting log number 435 24 June.
