Boots is set to make a major change to millions of its cotton wool products in a bid to help its shoppers make more environmentally-friendly choices

Boots will now ensure cotton wool has a GOT certification, meaning it has been farmed without the use of toxic, persistent pesticides or synthetic fertilisers, and sustains the health of soils and the environment. It comes after reports that current cotton production methods are environmentally unsustainable, according to the World Wildlife Fund
