This urban farm in South Dallas started out as a neighborhood plot and has grown into two fully functioning farms, a cafe and a vital community hub.
Last week with the help of local Chili's restaurants and customers, they got a step closer to the goal.The restaurant chain, which is owned by Dallas-based Brinker International, sponsored a round-up program at all of their 80 DFW restaurants. Each time a guest paid for their bill, they had the opportunity to round up to the next dollar with all additional funds going straight to Bonton Farms. Guests could add any additional amount if they so desired.
