Two 10-year-olds and a man were swimming in Maryland when the current pulled them farther out into the Potomac River. The man and one child survived.

Genesi Elizabeth Sosa-Bonilla was found dead near where she was last seen in the water on Sunday, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The sheriff’s office, Maryland Department of Natural Resources and members of volunteer fire and rescue companies responded toaround 1 p.m. Sunday for a report of swimmers in distress, the sheriff’s office said.
