A body was found Saturday night near the White House grounds, according to the D.C. police.
The man was found in the 800 block of Vermont Avenue NW, adjacent to Lafayette Square. The public park is across the street from the White House and its north lawn. It is considered part of the White House grounds.The man appeared to be someone “experiencing homelessness,” said Paris Lewbel, deputy director of the police office of communications.
Detectives on the unit that looks into deaths from natural causes were being sent to investigate, Lewbel said.GiftOutline
