The body recovered Monday morning from the Fox River in Carpentersville has been positively identified by the Kane County Coroner’s Office as that of an Algonquin woman reported missing Sunday.

Kimberly Koerner, 52, of Algonquin, was found in the water near Bolz and Williams roads about 8:40 a.m., a news release from Coroner Rob Russell said. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday,No information on a possible cause of death was provided but “there are no visible or overt signs of foul play at this time,” the release said.

Koerner had been reported missing by family members Sunday morning, and Algonquin police issued an alert after finding her purse, phone and keys in the parking lot outside the store. Police said they were told she was en route to the Jewel-Osco but they determined she never went inside the store.
