Daniel Kaluuya's W'Kabi didn't appear in BlackPantherWakandaForever, but some recently-released concept art reveals what the character may have looked like.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever concept art reveals what Daniel Kaluuya's W'Kabi could have looked like had he appeared in Ryan Coogler's sequel. Released last November to generally positive reviews from audiences and critics, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever follows Shuri and Ramonda as they attempt to lead Wakanda through a period of conflict after the death of King T'Challa .

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY After appearing in the first Black Panther in 2018, Kaluuya's W'Kabi was notably absent from the recent MCU sequel, but new concept art from artist Niek Schlosser reveals what he might have looked like. Overall, the character's general appearance is very similar to how he looks in the original film, but some subtle details, including the vibranium armor band around his waist, represent some significant upgrades.

While W'Kabi's fate is not directly addressed in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, he nonetheless could have returned to play an important role in the sequel. In the original film, M'Baku serves as something of an outsider, at first unwilling to aid T'Challa in his fight against Killmonger, but he eventually comes around and becomes a crucial ally. Despite being banished, W'Kabi could have served a similar purpose in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

It's not clear if Black Panther 3 will be moving forward at Marvel, but Coogler and producer Nate Moore have recently expressed interest in continuing the story. If another sequel does get the green light, it could be an interesting opportunity to reincorporate W'Kabi into the story, explaining what he's been up to while in exile and giving him the opportunity to evolve further as a character.
