“We wanted to say, hey, there is a way to challenge some of the premises that we have started on this show,” showrunner Courtney Lilly told.
“I think it was Laura [Gutin, a writer and exec producer] who kind of threw in the idea about the homegoing, and once you do that, you’re like, yeah, we’re going into to the jazz funeral.
