Jaxon will leave the development because the management company wasn’t able to come to terms with AT&T, says Kevin Lillis, CEO of Hospitality Alliance, the company that operates Jaxon. With its closure, Hospitality Alliance will also no longer operate the neighboring food hall. A spokesperson for AT&T explained the closure a little bit differently, saying that the Discovery District “can be even better” with some operational changes.They’re already looking for the next operator to take over Jaxon and reinvent it as a new restaurant.From the start, the AT&T Discovery District was almost universally praised for its potential. A giant media wall has the vibrancies of Times Square and Las Vegas.
