Warm temperatures bring in chances of showers after a Frost Advisory this morning.
INDIANAPOLIS — A warm front is moving through the state and will keep clouds around through the afternoon with a few rain showers.As this boundary pushes north this evening, the better chance of more widespread rain will set-up across the northern tier of the state. Rain showers will be likely from Lafayette to Marion through midday Thursday. Overnight temperatures will be much more mild compared to the last few nights with lows in the mid 50s.
Temperatures will once again climb above average into the upper 70s on Friday afternoon as we sit in the warm sector of this weather system before a cold front arrives late in the day. This will bring widespread rain, rumbles of thunder, and gusty winds starting mainly after 5 p.m. The rain associated with the front will end by Saturday morning as a major temperature drop arrives for the weekend with highs back in the upper 50s.
