Biden drew fire from some Canadian critics earlier in his term for failing to visit the country, the second-largest U.S. trading partner, in person.Biden did"virtually" host Trudeau and a delegation of Canadian officials in October of 2021. COVID-19 restrictions had scuttled the previously planned in-person meetings and provided plenty of awkward photos, showing Biden dwarfed by a video screen bearing a larger-than-life Trudeau.
Both leaders will meet with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Tuesday at the"Three Amigos" summit.
