According to a press release, Beyoncé"decided to lead without visuals giving fans the opportunity to be limitless in their expansive listening journey. It is a chance again to be listeners and not viewers, while taking in every gem of the pristine production." In other words,"Renaissance" is exactly what I hoped it would be: a celebration of '90s house music and the queer communities of color who championed the sound.According to the release,"the visuals are scheduled for a later date." The list of collaborators includes Nile Rodgers, Raphael Saadiq, Mike Dean, Honey Dijon, Skrillex, Beam, Big Freedia and Grace Jones.This three act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic.
