Benjamin Sesko was heavily rumoured with a move to Manchester United over the summer.
The Red Devils were heavily linked with the Slovenia international and actually sSesko has now lifted the lid on why he chose to stay in the Bundesliga, admitting he made the right decision due to Leipzig's 'style' of play.“The thing is, I wasn't really involved in these kinds of conversations,” Sesko said when asked about the Red Devils' interest . “But I think it was better to come here.
“It was very important for me to go to a place that plays a similar style of football,” he added. “I already knew what I had to do and didn’t have to go through a whole learning process again.” Sesko conceded that the Premier League would be an attractive option in the future, but references his lengthy contract, which runs until 2028, stating: “It would be nice to play there. But for now let’s focus on the now and then we’ll see.”
