The prime minister warned others to be careful after his son was forced to call the emergency services.
Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo fell off his bike and briefly lost consciousness while out for a ride with his son.It happened on Saturday when Mr De Croo, 47, was near his home in the Flanders region, according to news agency Belga.
Posting a social media video from home on Sunday, the prime minister thanked medical staff for looking after him."Sport is good for your health. But sometimes you have to be a little careful," he added - as he also thanked well-wishers for their messages. The accident was not expected to affect the prime minister's work schedule for the coming week, Belga reported.
