A Belfast mum says her family has been through “six years of hell” since her daughter was diagnosed with hydrocephalus shortly after birth.
Casey Travers, fears little Farrah, who turns six on September 16, developed it because she was a Strep B carrier while pregnant with her.Because of the condition, Farrah’s life has been an endless stream of emergencies, hospital visits, scans, brain operations and lumbar punctures for the complex condition she suffers bravely with no end in sight.“It’s been six years of hell.
The 30-year-old added: “She’s been coping with it since she was a small baby so she’s used to it now.“But she hates the thought of the hospital [and] doesn’t want to go because she doesn’t think it will help her.
