The woman who was assaulted told investigators that she recognized her attacker.
Gino Anthony Bononcini, 29, was arrested Friday, June 10, 2022, and charged with sexual assault and burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault.A man has been arrested after being accused of breaking into a woman’s apartment and sexually assaulting her.
The assault occurred on April 25 at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Overlook Parkway, according to an affidavit supporting Bononcini’s arrest. A woman, 68, told Bexar County deputies that she was asleep on her sofa when she awoke at 4 a.m. to use the restroom. He placed his index finger over his mouth and she screamed, the affidavit states. He ran up to her, telling her, “Shut up,” she told investigators. She cried, “Don’t kill me.”
