The flagship political news show, broadcast at 9am on BBC One on Sunday’s is normally hosted by Kuenssberg. However, in a post on Twitter/X, the journalist said: “Sorry everyone, I can’t make #bbcLaurak or #newscast this weekend – but don’t miss @vicderbyshire in the chair at 9 tomorrow on @BBCOne!”Kuenssberg will be replaced by Victoria Derbyshire for this Sunday’s show.
The guests for this week’s show include Defence Secretary Grant Shapps , LibDem leader Ed Davey and Rachel Johnson – journalist and the sister of ex-PM Boris. The show recently returned after recess. Among those to make an appearance so far was Scottish author Irvine Welsh who saidKuenssberg and her fellow panellists were left stunned by the pitch with the presenter saying the show had taken on a “whole new format for political conversation” before it wrapped up.
