Edward Tinsley, 35, was arrested and charged with murdering his mother, Sally Tinsley.
BAY POINT — A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with murdering his 70-year-old mother inside their Bay Point home, in a case that authorities say appears to be related to his mental health.
Edward Tinsley is set to be arraigned on June 16, according to court records. There is also a pending motion to forcibly administer psych meds. That motion is before Judge Laurel Brady, who handles cases involving defendants with mental illness. Tinsley was arrested at the family home on Azores Circle in Bay Point, around 9:30 p.m. May 17, court records show. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
