The Rattlers pulled out a 3-2 victory in nine innings.

It became real Thursday night.

Game 2 is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Concordia University in Austin. If a third game is needed, it will be played at 6 p.m. Saturday at North East Sports Park. Noticing Lake Travis second baseman Dylan Slotterback was leaning toward the middle, the righthanded hitting Moore knocked a hard chopper to the right side of the infield. Slotterback shifted over and tried to field it on a short hop. The ball bounced off his glove and toward foul territory, which allowed Hall to touch home plate with the winning run.

“We wanted to eliminate the outer part of the zone,” King said. “And he missed up the middle up high a little bit and then I just stroked it. … The was playing pretty shallow, so I looked up and I knew I had to get running.”
