This comes after the San Francisco-based fund agreed a similar deal worth £170million for ten per cent of the media rights just three weeks earlier. Barcelona have also struck a three-year deal worth £238million with music streaming giants Spotify for shirt and stadium sponsorship – which begins this season.saddled with short-term debt as a result of overspending and the COVID-19 pandemic, the club has been forced to take extreme measures to raise funds, including losing Lionel Messi at the end of his contract, as well as seeing players defer wages.
