Many teams are getting ready to bolster their squads ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, with some clubs having already secured their first signings for next season., the Blaugrana are now looking to make another signing, having joined the race for Borussia Monchengladbach left-back Ramy Bensebaini's signature.
The Algerian has been linked with a number of top clubs after impressing in Germany with 17 goals and seven assists in 78 appearances since making the move to Gladbach in 2019. Xavi Hernandez's Barca are in the market for a left-back as their only specialist for the position, 33-year-old Jordi Alba, is entering the latter stages of his career.
Dortmund, meanwhile, are said to be looking for a defender to provide competition for Raphael Guerreiro, while Nico Schultz's future at Signal Iduna Park remains uncertain.Juventus are also interested in the Algeria star as they are believed to be looking to replace Alex Sandro, who has endured much criticism following some poor displays this season.
Bensebaini's contract at Monchengladbach is set to expire at the end of the next campaign, which could put the Bundesliga club in a position where they either sell him within the next two transfer windows or lose him as a free agent in June 2023.
