A person who spotted the ad wrote on Twitter: ‘Uhhh B&Q can you explain why you have a product picture featuring two books that say ‘white supremacy’?’ B&Q confirmed it is ‘actively reviewing’ its screening process after it failed to pick up the picture of the books. A customer who was browsing for radiator covers on B&Q’s website said ‘he couldn’t believe’ what he was seeing.
‘There, right in the middle of the B&Q website were these books with ‘white supremacy’ written down the side,’ he told the‘I’m sure lots of people would be massively offended seeing something like that. I can’t believe how it managed to get on there.’People on social media kicked off about it allThe customer was not sure if it was Photoshop and ‘someone has put it in as a joke’.
