In true Great British style, it looks like it could be a wet bank holiday weekend
It's fair to say that this year's summer has been rather disappointing weather wise, with plenty of rain and not quite so much sun. And unfortunately, this is a trend that looks set to continue into the bank holiday weekend.
Across the weekend, it looks like we can expect temperatures to only reach 18C or 19C, with rain showers expected all weekend, especially on Monday. Further inland, the weather looks to be much more rain than sun unfortunately, with all three days of the bank holiday set to be rather wet. Heading towards the coast, it looks like there may be more chance of some sunshine. If you are planning a trip to the seaside, Saturday looks to be the best day with some showers expected. There's a chance that coastal areas could see some thunderstorms on Sunday, and Monday is predicted to be a bit of a washout.
Looking ahead to the rest of the week, things aren't predicted to get much better weather wise. Temperatures will remain around the 22C mark and will be a mixture of partly sunny days and rain showers. As we head out of August and into September, it also looks to be much the same. It seems autumn is already on its way.
