Gersht is interested in the paradoxical moments that photography allows him to freeze in time, highlighting the gap between what we see and what we think we see. 'Fields and Vision 08' by Israeli photographer Ori Gersht is on display at Dallas' Talley Dunn Gallery., which provides the title for the show, Gersht allowed artificial intelligence to fill in the missing visual information in his low-res photos. What emerges is a digital-optical vision, an illusion that is almost too perfect and disorients the viewer.
