Brooke Shields, 57, Opens Up About Cosmetic Treatments, Says She’s ‘Earned’ Her ‘Wrinkles’
“Some #realtalk at a @truebotanicals skincare photoshoot,” Shields captioned theIn the video she admits that while she’s proud of the skin she’s in today, her relationship with her skin is complex. “I can’t say I love wrinkles, because that would be like a lie. But what I will say is that I have earned them and they’re from smiling,” she explained. “I don’t want to eradicate everything that shows my maturity and my growth and who I am today. And I’m not trying to be like I was when I was 15.
Shields said that she’s spoken to her daughters about those topics but also “about keeping yourself healthy,” which she interprets as “eating well, drinking a lot of water, all those things, and taking care of your skin—it’s the largest organ in the body.” Fans loved Shields’ candid take on aging. “Thank you Brooke for talking about accepting the inevitable aging process,” one fan wrote. “Finally another actress who grows old gracefully isn’t that wonderful,” another added. “This pro-aging advocate thanks you wholeheartedly for this message 🙌 I don’t absolutely *love* my wrinkles either, but I refuse to be ashamed of my body aging and changing,” one more fan chimed in.
