Asia-Pacific markets set to trade mixed; Australia unemployment data ahead
SPI futures in Australia were at 6,843, slightly higher than theUnemployment data for August is due out in Australia later Thursday and is expected to be unchanged from July at 3.4%. In New Zealand, gross domestic product grew 1.7% in the June 2022 quarter, up from a 0.2% contraction in the previous quarter.
Investors are looking ahead to U.S. retail sales, import prices and jobless claims, as well as the Philadelphia Fed manufacturing survey and the Empire State manufacturing survey.
