Apples, chicken, bread and chips are among the items being reduced in price from today
The supermarket giant said the move is the latest in an effort to support families facing pressure from the cost of living crisis. On average, prices are being cut by 14 per cent, including on bread, fresh fruit, vegetables, and fresh meat.
It comes after £35 million was invested to reduce the price of over 600 products in July and August. Asda's Income Tracker revealed that more than 60 per cent of households saw their disposable incomes fall in August compared to the same period in the year before.
