As Houston preps for the Final Four, sports group announces Hoops House at Bayou Music Center

As Houston gears up to host the NCAA Men's Final Four in early April, businesses are making plans for fan activities.
A series of basketball-themed events and activities at the Hoops House are being planned by Intersport, a Chicago-based sports marketing and events agency. The Bayou Music Center in downtown Houston will transform into Hoops House beginning March 30. Among fan-centric events will be the State Farm College Slam Dunk and 3-point Championships showcasing the skills of the country’s best college basketball players. Past superstars to compete in the the events include Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Donovan Mitchell, Trae Young, Jason Terry, Ariel Atkins and Tiffany Hayes.A full schedule of the events hosted at the Bayou Music Center is set to be announced in the coming weeks.
“These showcase events are synonymous with the most exciting weekend in college basketball and we’re eager to put together an engaging schedule at the Bayou Music Center that will serve as a home away from home for basketball fans,” Mark Starsiak, Intersport vice president of basketball said in a news release.
The Final Four games will be April 1 at NRG Stadium and the title game will be April 3. This is the fourth time Houston has hosted the sports event, the last time being 2016. The tournament brackets are announced Sunday, March 12.
