Arsenal are in the process of finalising a move for Oleksandr Zinchenko after reaching an agreement in principle with the 25-year-old on a four-year contract,Having already had an offer, believed to be £30 million + £2 million in achievable add-ons, accepted by their Premier League counterparts, Arsenal now also have personal terms in place with the Ukraine international.
If all goes to plan, Zinchenko will leave City’s pre-season tour to undergo a medical and sign for the North London club. Although he tends to operate in midfield for his country, Zinchenko has mainly been used by Guardiola at left-back. While that is a specific area of the pitch where Arsenal have been looking to strengthen, his versatility is certain to appeal.
Zinchenko has enjoyed huge success at City, winning the English top-flight four times and likewise the League Cup. He has lifted one FA Cup and played in the 2021 Champions League final. Zinchenko would become Arsenal's fifth signing of the summer after the arrivals of Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus.
