As the man tried to run away, Funderburg and others chased him around the corner to the 300 block of Rutherford Avenue.
At some point, Funderburg retrieved a handgun and fired three shots down an alley from the street that struck Daniel Garvin at about 8:20 p.m.Funderburg will make his first appearance in court Thursday afternoon, officials said.
