Adam Clark, 48, was drunk and going too fast when he hit an oak tree at Loch Lomond Golf Club
The son of car tycoon Sir Arnold Clark has been banned from driving after crashing at a golf resort and leaving two friends badly injured.
Sheriff Seith Ireland ordered him to carry out 300 hours of unpaid work and disqualified him for a year. They had been drinking in the bar before the crash but declined an offer of a chauffeur service to their accommodation. Neither of his passengers were wearing a seatbelt.
