A THUG who struck his lover on the eye following a row over money was jailed today for 15 months.The city's Sheriff Court heard that Madden was aggressive towards her and stated she was a"cow".and picked up an empty bottle of Captain Morgan's."This caused a cut and swelling to her head.
"Madden was heard shouting aggressively in the background while the woman was noted to be"in a state of distress".However, the woman bravely ran to the door and unlocked it.Madden pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman to her injury.He added:"There was an argument over money - that he owed money or the woman was seeking money from him."The sheriff also granted a three-year non-harassment order restricting Madden's contact with the woman.
