.AOC and ewarren were both 'disappointed' with GameofThrones series finale
It’s been nearly 36 hours since Game of Thrones officially ended on HBO, and people are still reeling over the underwhelming Season 8 finale. Just about everyone has voiced their opinion on the final episode of the series, from folks suggesting alternative endings to others launching a petition to remake the last season of the show. Even folks in the political arena have harped on the less-than-thrilling ending, including Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sentator Elizabeth Warren.
The patriarchal undertones reigning supreme in the last few episodes were just too much for Warren and Ocasio-Cortez to enjoy. “We were getting so close to having this ending with just women running the world, and then the last two episodes it’s like, ‘Oh, they’re too emotional,” Ocasio-Cortez said.Although Warren was originally rooting for Daenerys to take the Iron Throne, she said she was prepared to switch sides and see a less temperamental woman in power.
“I know. I was disappointed,” Ocasio-Cortez replied, adding, “We need to get some feminist analysis up in HBO.”
