He has since established himself as a key first-team member under Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers. His new four-year deal takes him up until 2027 like a host of top players at the club including Kyogo Furuhashi, Daizen Maeda and Liel Abada. Skipper Callum McGregor also penned fresh terms in the summer.
He told the Celtic website: “I’m absolutely delighted, it’s a great feeling to sign with your Bhoyhood club on a new contract. It never gets old, that feeling of being able to put pen to paper to secure your future where you want to be. “And I feel that, as a team, we’ve managed to do that, and within that players get their rewards, so like I say, I’m absolutely delighted to get it done.”
