The body was found at 10:42 a.m. and confirmed dead by the Berks County Coroner, according to a news release from Borough Council President Ryan Lineaweaver. The plant on South Second Street in West Reading was the scene of a powerful explosion that destroyed the building and pushed a nearby apartment building ahead four feet.

Authorities are not identifying any of the dead. One person was found alive early Saturday morning. Two more people are missing and crews are continuing to work around the clock on rescue and recovery efforts. Borough officials indicated they planned a news conference to provide further updates at 9 p.m. Sunday.
