Mother's Instinct, which sees the original director Olivier Masset-Depasse returning to helm the English-language remake, focuses on two women who are friends in the 1960s and live nearby, with similar families and children of the same age. Origin: Mothers' Instinct is a remake of director Olivier Masset-Depasse's own 2018 Belgian film Duelles starring Anne Coesens and Veerle Baetens
But the two also filmed scenes earlier this year in James Gray's autobiographical period drama Armageddon Time, which is set in Queens in the 1980s and also stars Anthony Hopkins and Succession's Jeremy Strong.
