Everton legend criticises Farhad Moshiri and delivers grim verdict ahead of new season EFC
: “It’s very clear that Everton seem to be at a crossroads now. Throughout my life I’ve seen great teams, big teams and big clubs crash and burn.
“Once they survived last year I thought ‘job done’. This should never and will never happen again, we can’t allow it to, but the close season has not filled me with hope. “The inability to attract new talent has disappointed me. I thought that with someone like Frank Lampard and his backroom staff that it might help in bringing people in and with the arrival of James Tarkowski, does that mean we’ll be around the same as last year? I don’t think so. I think we have to be better and have to perform at different levels.
Gray then went on to criticise Farhad Moshiri, saying that his judgement is what has led Everton into their current predicament.
