The Assembly’s proposal has more than 65 line items, with multiple nonprofits and organizations earmarked as fund recipients, and money going toward affordable housing projects, child care programs, homelessness relief and more.

In May, Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson put forward his ownfor the funds. It largely consisted of city government spending and city infrastructure projects. City construction projects are often funded through voter-approved bonds.

The Assembly did not include the request for fuel money in its draft resolution on the federal funds. • $8.4 million to thread, a child care resource and referral network. The organization will distribute money to licensed child care programs to stabilize the businesses, to recruit educators and to provide affordable child care.
