The American XL bully dog breed will be banned in Britain by the end of the year following a series of attacks. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak confirmed plans to ban the "danger" breed in a video statement on Friday as he pledged to keep people safe.
Ana needed around eight stitches following the incident and two other men were also injured after the dog broke free from its collar twice. The incident sparked calls for the breed to be banned and prompted Home Secretary Suella Braverman to seek “urgent advice”, labelling the attack “appalling”.In a video statement posted to X, formerly known as Twitter, Sunak confirmed that the American XL bully breed will be banned by the end of this year.
