Whether you’ve been at a company for a decade or a few months, your employer is a huge part of your life and state of mind. Your emotional and financial well-being can be affected by your colleagues, the work you do, the career opportunities afforded to you, your level of satisfaction with your salary, and plenty more.
To help you find a top employer—and to better equip companies to evaluate their performance and peers—To create the fifth annual list,to survey a representative sample of employees working full- or part-time across the United States at companies with more than 500 employees.
Participants were also asked to assess employers beyond their own: In their particular state, respondents could evaluate employers that stood out positively or negatively; and nationally, participants were able to rate employers anywhere within their respective industries, positively or negatively. All surveys were anonymous to encourage candor.
The number of organizations that made the list in each state varied by the size of its companies and workforce. Ultimately, a total of 1392 organizations made the list. lists, companies pay no fee to participate. For questions about this list, please contact listdesk forbes.com.
