Authorities searching for vehicle with a “Baby On Board” sticker, unknown paper plates and damaged left headlight and taillight. It also had a spare tire on one of its wheels.
An Amber Alert was issued early Sunday morning after an SUV with a 2-year-old boy inside was stolen while his mother was unloading groceries, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.
The alert came after a brown 2008 Buick Enclave was stolen about 3:51 a.m. from the 500 block of North Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale, police said. A toddler, Jacob Jardine, was in the vehicle when it was taken. The vehicle had a “Baby On Board” sticker on it, as well as unknown paper plates. Its left headlight and taillight were out, and it had a spare tire on one of its wheels.
The boy has red curly hair and brown eyes, and he was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt when he was taken. The California Highway Patrol said the vehicle was stolen by an unknown person. No other details of the incident were released.
