THQ Nordic has announced that upcoming survival horror title Alone in the Dark is being delayed from its original October date into January of next year.broke the news to fans, saying the following: “Horror games thrive on the eerie embrace of solitude, something that is impossible to achieve in a gaming month as busy as October. To ensure a breathtaking experience for everyone, we have made the decision to move the release of Alone in the Dark to January 16, 2024.
The new Alone in the Dark is set to be a reboot of the series, with an all-new telling of the events of the first game, but with some Hollywood casting in the game’s lead roles as it was revealed thatwould be playing Edward Carnaby and Emily Hartwood, respectively. A demo for the game is already available, taking the form of a prologue in which you play as Grace, a young girl who’ll be at the heart of the survival horror title’s story.
It’s certainly one of the most creative ways we’ve seen to say “there’s too many games out that month” – but we can’t fault the sentiment. It’s already looking like a stacked month, with similarly horror tinged title
