Almost every single item in my supermarket shop cost less than Morrisons and it wasn't Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Sainsbury's or Asda
There's no doubting that food bills are on the rise, but at some places they've been rising higher than others. In our weekly comparison of basics like milk and bread, there's one supermarket that's had more attention than most and that's Morrisons.
We thought Morrisons would be more expensive, but even we were surprised to discover that all but one item cost less at Iceland - and even with that, the mild cheddar, the difference was just 2p. A couple of the lower prices were down to Iceland's Bonus Card, its loyalty card which gives shoppers certain items at a discounted price.
