After more than a decade away from NBC, all six seasons of Community are heading to Peacock. Yes, even the 'gas leak' and Yahoo! seasons
Move over, Greendale Human Being. Greendale Community College has a new mascot: a peacock. Beloved sitcom Community is heading to Peacock, the streaming home of most things NBC, the show’s original network. It’s a bit of a homecoming for Dan Harmon’s cult series, which faced cancellation throughout its entire run, moved to a streaming service it probably killed, and has a long-threatened spin-off movie that’s maybe in production.
Unsurprisingly, Peacock will also be home to Community: The Movie, whenever that comes out. Star Joel McHale recently told Deadline that he’d be “shocked” if the movie doesn’t film this year. “I really do think it’s happening this year and probably next week,” he said. “It’s basically working around Donald schedule.” However, while Glover and McHale believe the script is done, Harmon told Variety in February that it’s “almost done” and set on the campus of Greendale Community College.
