ThisMorning star Alison Hammond admits blunder during royal meeting with KateMiddleton and PrinceWilliam
It's been an eventful week for This Morning presenter Alison Hammond as she got to meet the Prince and Princess of Wales in her hometown Birmingham on Thursday.
The 48-year-old explained to her co-host Dermot O’Leary: "I led [Prince William] down the stairs, holding his hand… and on the way down the stairs, I remember that I hadn’t done 'Your Royal Highness' or bowed.Dermot jokingly went on to ask if Alison had called the Prince of Wales, which she quickly denied.
"Someone had put 'HRH' and he said 'that's you Alison'," Alison shared. "So I played as 'HRH'. So we were just having a chat, we were talking about Aston Villa, talking about who does the kids support, it was just lovely.Alison had previously revealed how she, just minutes before, had invited Princess Kate for dinner after she revealed she liked spicy foods and drinks.
