Alaska Reid (AlaskaReid) has returned with another new single from her forthcoming debut album. Listen to 'Palomino' here:
27-year-old singer/songwriter Alaska Reid has released another triumphant single from her forthcoming LP, out July 14 via Luminelle Recordings. “Palomino” is a rumination on the performance of young womanhood. Working at a bar and playing specimen to a lover who has turned her into a sexy, dangerous object of fantasy, Reid asks herself: “Is this really really what I want?”
Reid’s sultry soprano glides smoothly over a twangy electronic track, paying tribute to her Montana upbringing and her current home in LA. “Palomino” itself feels like a transitional song; it is an acknowledgment of youthful dissatisfaction and a promise to move forward. It is fitting that it is the fifth track in Reid’s 10-song album, a promising centerpiece for her sophomore affair.Alaska Reid’s Upcoming Tour Dates:9/9 – Austin, TX @ Mohawk Austin9/15 – Washington, D.C.
