Alamo Heights Independent School District teachers will wear badges with panic buttons as part of a possible statewide effort to address mass shootings, according to The San Antonio Report. A bill filed in the Texas Legislature and a proposed rule by the Texas Education Agency aim to make the panic buttons mandatory, according to the Report.
The TEA allocated grants to several area districts, including $9,523 for Alamo Heights, $190,467 for San Antonio ISD, $38,094 for South San ISD, $60,950 for Judson ISD, and $22,856 for Boerne ISD, according to an October 2022
